A Solution To Twitter’s Woes?
If Twitter were smart, they’d make a single user version of the site (interactive with other single user versions, like bitTorrent) and sell that to every one of their users for $10. Each purchaser can host it on their own Linux box. Not only does this give them a way to earn money, but it distributes the server load across an entire network, instead of only on the Twitter servers. – Joshua Voiz.
This sounds to me like the best idea yet as regards fixing Twitter and it’s problems. As long as it didn’t place too much strain on my server I would probably buy it.
