Euro 2008 | Portugal v Turkey
Right then, as my own country of birth managed to dismally fail to even qualify for Euro 2008, I hereby declare that I have decided to fully support the next best option, which is, naturally, Portugal. The only problem is that I really do not know much about Portugal’s team so it is going to be a case of picking it up as we go along with a little help from the BBC’s Euro 2008 coverage.
So, onwards.
Tonight’s first Euro 2008 game for Portugal is against Turkey.
Having just read the team facts for Turkey I have to say that I do not think that they seem to stand much of a chance against Portugal, a feeling that seems to be born out by this little factette alone;
Portugal and Turkey have met each other on six previous occasions with Portugal winning five times and Turkey once.
I hope that things tonight follow in the same trend. We shall see.
