The Long Windows Wait

I use only Mac computers and have done so for a long while. However I am not, as some assume, particularly anti-Microsoft, although having been spoilt by the excellence of OS X it is true that I would not ever want to have to use Windows again.

My girlfriend however does use Windows on her laptop, and as I type is installing a large Windows Update file. Windows is right this moment crunching its way through the update and installing, presumably, whatever it has decided that it needs.

This is not a quick process and, twenty-five minutes in, no progress bars are moving, although the drive does seem to be spinning healthily.

We now wait quietly and nervously for a, hopefully, happy outcome.

And, yes, I am right now clearly remembering just why it is that I do not use Windows.
