Tumblr Photosets

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

Just in case I wasn’t already a big fan of the Tumblr.com service (and staff), today they have unleashed new photoset functionality that has so much potential usefulness that it is making my head spin. As they themselves say;

“If a picture is worth a thousand words, photosets are the future of books.”

Indeed, and add to the new photoset function the already existing ability to have multiple ‘Tumblelogs’, then sprinkle in some customisation tags, and, well, pretty quickly it becomes a case of wondering just what can’t be done with it all.

I have no time to experiment tonight, but sometime over the next week photosets are going to get a serious workout. Oh, yes.

Ronnie Biggs To Go Free

Thursday, June 11th, 2009

Unless there are any last minute changes of plan, Ronnie Biggs will be freed from prison within a matter of days to live out what remains of his life in a care home.

According to Bigg’s solicitor Giovanni di Stefano;

“He knows about this and he’s very pleased and his release is now just a few days away. It’s a brand new home that he will be going to and his son will be only a half a mile away and will be able to visit every day.”

This is good, if long overdue, news in my opinion.

Boa sorte, Ronnie.

My internet noise reduction plan appears to be taking effect.

Feed Stats February ‘09

A few days late, but what the heck, here are my Google Reader stats for the last thirty days.

And here are the numbers: ‘From your 119 subscriptions, over the last 30 days you read 2,211 items, starred 57 items, shared 0 items, and emailed 0 items’.

Strangely enough, although I added in more feeds than I had last month, I less read items. That probably says something, though I have no idea what.
